Why Gold Coast Clubs are buying defibrillators

After meeting the staff on a recent visit to the Nerang RSL Club to deliver a CRPlus Defibrillator, it was very apparent that this is a club who cares about their members.

The average age for suffering a heart attack is 66 years old with the risk steadily increasing with age.  This statistic equates for a large percentage of patrons who frequent the RSL which is why it is so rewarding to see the staff and administration team being proactive with their decision to purchase a CRPlus Defibrillator.

Our chief First Aid trainer Scott Whimpey had a great session with the staff and walked them through the operations of the defibrillator in addition to some basic CPR techniques. “I can officially say that the patrons of the Nerang RSL are in safe hands after today.” Said Scott after completing the training session.

If your Gold Coast club or organisation are interested in purchasing a defibrillator for your venue, please contact our First Aid Accident and Emergency headquarters for more information.
