“It’s important to remember that even though the Kokoda Challenge is on trails, it’s nice to be able to do some road work just for fitness whether you’re walking at a good pace, jogging or running. It’s nice to get out on the road because it’s easy to settle into a comfortable pace on the trails and the road does take you out of your comfort zone.”  Scott Whimpey from First Aid Accident & Emergency is training hard for this year’s Kokoda Challenge, here he discusses training sessions and how road work is also important for this 96km Gold Coast trail event.
