It’s been a year since the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games was held, but the positive effects are still being felt across the community to this day.

Delivering life-saving defibs to the Comm Games crew.

As the Official Defibrillator Supplier to the Commonwealth Games, First Aid Accident & Emergency provided over 150 defibrillators to be used across official venues and buildings across the Games. We are proud to say that a number of these defibrillators were actively used in savings lives during the course of the Games.

After the Closing Ceremony, the decision was made to redistribute those defibrillators into community clubs around the Gold Coast including:

  • Never Alone Friendship Centre
  • Helensvale Senior Citizens Club
  • Gold Coast & Hinterland Spinners & Weavers
  • Labrador Memorial Senior Citizens Assoc
  • Tugun Seahawks Junior Rugby League Club
  • Jacobs Well & District Social Club
  • Gold Coast Rockers
  • Coolangatta Bowls & Recreation Club
  • Burleigh Heads & Miami Senior Citizens Club, and many others.

We are proud to have been an integral part of this existing legacy of the Games and the safety this brings to the community. To find out more about the defibrillators we have on offer, click here.
