Free Health Check with every First Aid course

At First Aid Accident & Emergency we are all about keeping everyone in good health and that means our participants as well.

Ask yourself this, when was the last time you had a health check? When it comes to health, the best advise is to be pro-active as opposed to re-active and this is why as part of our service, we are offering FREE health checks to all those who attend any of the first aid courses we provide at First Aid Accident & Emergency.

One of the biggest and preventable health problems we have in Australia is Cardiovascular Disease – or – heart attacks. Every day 26 people in Australia die from Heart Attacks as reported by the Heart Foundation. What the Heart Foundation has also reported on is the fact that most of these deaths were preventable.

Here are some facts on two of the big health problems that a Health Check may help prevent.

Possible causes for High Blood Pressure (hypertension) can include:

  • Smoking stethescope
  • Lack of exercise
  • Too much alcohol
  • Too much salt
  • Stress
  • Age

Possible causes for Heart attacks can include:

  • High blood pressure
  • Age
  • Angina (illness where the heart is not receiving enough oxygen)

Education, awareness and regular health checks are paramount in working towards the possible prevention of health risks. If you would like any more information on our Free Health Checks which are included as part of any of our First Aid courses, please contact our head office.Â
