Free CPR Program and why you need to learn it now

During the winter months, we can become complacent with the importance of CPR, particularly when it comes to resuscitation after a near-drowning since we’re not in the water as much.

However, during this time, it is actually the best time of year to learn CPR before the warmer months hit so you are prepared and confident with your First Aid skills before the peak time of water activity commences. It also ideal if you have done a CPR course previously, to do make the most of our First Aid refresher courses to brush up on your skills.

CPR is a life-saving technique which needs to be conducted properly in order for the patients best chances of recovery.  In this video produced by www.mygc.com.au, Director of First Aid Accident and Emergency, Scott Whimpey walks through the importance of CPR in addition to the correct way to conduct CPR with a few tips to help remember the process.

Due to popular demand, First Aid Accident and Emergency are holding FREE CPR sessions once a month on Sundays (last Sunday of the month) at our Varsity Lakes facilities. Bookings to the free CPR session are essential as seats are limited. The sessions are run on the last Sunday of every month from 9:30 to 10:30.

This CPR community  program is not nationally recognised training. If you require a statement of attainment in CPR or First aid for the workplace, FAAE also run weekly accredited CPR and First Aid courses on the Gold Coast.

If you are interested in any of our Free CPR session or any other First Aid courses, please contact our head office for more information.
