FAAE partner up with Team T-Rex

At First Aid Accident and Emergency we not only emphasise the need for education in First Aid skills but how to prevent incidents before they happen.  One of those prevention methods is keeping yourself active and in good shape which is why our recent partnership with Team T-Rex Triathlon Coaching made sense.

Team T-Rex is one of the most successful triathlon squads on the Gold Coast.  Founder Teresa Theaker has seen her club grow from 3 members to 150 members ranging from ages 6 through 75 years old.  This gives the club an average of coaching 320 people per week through their extensive range of programs.

“Success in triathlon events largely depends on the support you receive both on and off the course. Looking after each other both mentally and physically is equally as important which is why we teamed up with First Aid Accident and Emergency.” Teresa herself recently completed a First Aid and CPR course at our Varsity Lakes headquarters and was so impressed with the professionalism and knowledge that she enrolled all of Team T-Rex’s coaches in CPR and First Aid refresher courses.

“First Aid Accident and Emergency are by far the most experienced company I’ve dealt with one it comes to facilitating first aid courses and also tailoring their training for specific situations, such as triathlon events. It was reassuring that most of the first aid instructors are actually paramedics and can teach from their experience on the field.” Said Teresa.

Having qualified hands-on First Aid support is an essential part of any athletes training regime and can be the difference between a speedy recovery and unnecessary injuries.
