Why Every Golf Club Needs an AED

Summer is fast approaching here in Australia and that means that it’s time to prepare for some much needed relaxation at your local golf greens. Australians love golf – this is backed up by the nation’s whopping 1,500+* golf courses, including some considered to be of the very best in the world.

But did you know that despite golf being a great form of exercise, often prescribed by healthcare professionals as a means of exercise most people can participate in, data suggests^ the golf course is one of the most common places for cardiac arrest to occur?

In 2017, a Sydney golfer tragically lost his life while on the golf greens after experiencing heat stroke which lead to cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, this kind of situation is far more common than most Aussies realise.
