Benowa High School Staff attend First Aid course before school camp

The times have changed when it comes to the locations schools are choosing for their school camps.  Twenty years ago, a school camp was pretty much standard practice of going to a nearby location with log cabins, full access to facilities and a bit of swimming in the creek.

Nowadays both staff and students are getting to experience a broader range of locations and with that, comes responsibility and the duty of care.

One such Gold Coast High School which recognised this need to train their staff was when we recently conducted the HLTAID001 Provide CPR and HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation at Benowa State High School for AJ Presto and staff.

They are about to go of to camp on a remote tropical Island and require the best skills and knowledge for a quick response. All the team were competent and thanked Scott and the team for their professional approach and live training which was able to be facilitated at the school, making it easier for the participants.

If your Gold Coast high school staff or administration team are interested in refreshing their First Aid Skills, please contact our Varsity Lakes office today for more information.
