Course Description:
LVR and CPR must be completed every 6 months by any one working LIVE. If you work on the back side of a switch board or you isolate a switch board or circuit, this is live legal work.
 
This course is specific to tradies - no fuss, no mucking around. The course is completed in a reasonable time frame and you will learn everything you need to know to rescue a sparkie in trouble.
 
Course Content:
  • JSA's, Risk assesments and paperwork needed
  • 2002 electrical act on live work
  • LVR kit, checking it and when to get it out
  • Electrical Injuries
  • Burns- like the guy ontop of the train!!
  • Switchboard Rescue
  • DRSABCD
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
 
Course Duration: Approximate time to complete this course is 2 hours as this is considered to be a refresher course

Entry Requirements: You do not have to be a trained Electrician to do this course- you can be a TA or Apprentice
 
Target Group: Electricians, Air Conditioning Specialists, Elevator and Lift maintanance, Data & Cable fitters. Recommended for anyone working with enough amps to damage your heart!!

Assessment: Progressive assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course.

Award: On successful completion of the course the trainee will receive a statement of attainment for Perform CPR and Rescue of a person performing low voltage electrical 
 
Recertification: The Electrical Code of Practice recommends competency acquisition every 6 months.
